Langfuse with your supported provider. Enter provider credentials through the CLI or its secure configuration.
What you get: A reviewed mapping, an import receipt and evidence that the selected trace boundaries landed.
The steps below describe the workflow your agent follows and the results to verify.
- Create the connector with
overmind connector add PROVIDER --project-id PROJECT_ID --json, supplying the intended--api-url. Provider credentials come from environment variables or a terminal prompt. Alternatively, use Integrations in the Console. Do not paste provider keys into MCP calls. - Call
inspect_connectorswithinclude_source_projects=trueand select the source project or stream. Use its preview options when examining source observations. - Inspect
suggested_boundaries, alternatives,unmapped_roots, observation shapes and available capability mappings. The selected boundary names describe trace roots; selecting an ancestor drops nested child boundaries. - Call
configure_connectorwith the source, time range, proposedcapability_mappingand explicit polling settings. Leaveconfirm_mapping=falseto stage the proposal. Inspect the returned pending mapping and unmapped roots. - Present that staged mapping to the human responsible for the application. After their reply, call
configure_connectoragain withconfirm_mapping=trueto confirm the unchanged pending mapping. A first call that proposes a new mapping cannot also confirm it, even if the flag is true. Verifymapping_pending=false. - Call
sync_connectorto queue the configured import. Follow its returned job and polling guidance rather than submitting another sync to refresh status. - Inspect representative traces and capability attribution through the returned Console link or MCP trace resources. Check that the imported boundary captures the intended application input and output.
recarving state and verify the result. Keep unmapped roots visible when the evidence does not support an assignment.
Enable ongoing polling only when wanted. Disconnecting a connector keeps already imported traces. Counts and available history reflect the provider’s retained data, which can change over time.
